1. Using the site
You are free to browse RetroFlix, watch the films, save favorites and post reviews. We ask that you use the site responsibly.
2. The films
RetroFlix only shows films that are in the public domain. The films are hosted by third-party archives and video services and play here through their players. We do not claim ownership of any film, and we provide access for preservation, historical and educational purposes.
Copyright status is not always simple. If you own rights in something shown here, or believe a film is not in the public domain, contact us with the link to the title and we will review it and remove it where appropriate.
3. Reviews and comments
Reviews must be civil and about the film. We remove spam, abuse, advertising and anything unlawful. We reserve the right to remove any review at our discretion. By posting a review you allow us to show it on the site alongside the title it belongs to.
4. Intellectual property
The RetroFlix name, logo and the design of this site are ours. Film titles, posters, stills and credits belong to their respective owners and are shown to identify the films. Nothing on RetroFlix grants you rights in any of them.
5. Links to other sites
We link to other websites, including the services that host the films. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or how they work.
6. No warranty
RetroFlix and everything on it are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Films may be incomplete, damaged or of poor quality; that is often the nature of old prints. Details such as dates, credits and descriptions are compiled in good faith and may contain errors.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of RetroFlix or of sites we link to. Use of the site is at your own risk. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded where you live.
8. Privacy
How we handle personal information is covered by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
